Though we travel the world over
to find the beautiful, we must carry
it with us or we find it not.
                                           Ralph Waldo Emerson

We may run, walk, stumble, drive
or fly, but let us never lose sight of the
reason for the journey, or miss a chance
to see a rainbow on the way.

Creativity is the bringing into existance
that which did not exist before.
The Bible begins with incredible creativity
as God assembles the heavens and the earth,
truly the greatest artist of all time.

We are made in the image of a creative God.
We are born to be creative.  I enjoy expressing
my creativity through art and photography.
I find great joy and exhilaration as I paint,
draw and photograph the beauty of God's creation
all around me.
These photos show some of the tools
and materials I enjoy using to create art.

I don't use it very often, but sidewalk chalk
can be a lot fun.

Watercolor paints flow together quite
nicely. Very relaxing to use.

Pastels are a bit messy, yet versatile,
giving either a soft or bold look.

My favorite. Acrylic paint. Bold, colorful
and so much fun for this abstract artist.

Last but not least, the crayon. One of
the first materials we all used as budding
artists. Can't help but be happy using these. : )

The colors of spring have
arrived in full beauty, from soft
pastels to vibrant shades of green,
red, yellow and orange, all of which can
be quite breathtaking.
Many of these colors won't last long,
so take a few minutes to sit quietly, relax
and take in all of the glory our Great Creator
has provided for us.

Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully
and shout for joy.
                                 Psalm 33:3

A painter paints on canvas,
but musicians paint their pictures
on silence.
                                             Leopold Stokowski

Where words fail, music speaks.
             Hans Christian Andersen

Next to the word of God, the noble art of music
is the greatest treasure in the world.
                                                        Martin Luther

Wake the neighbors, get the word out
Come on...crank up the music...climb a mountain and shout
This is life we've been given made to be lived out
So la la la la live out loud.

You have made known to me the path of life...

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven

Be still and know that I am God...
                                     Psalm 46:10

It was you who set all the boundries of the earth;
you made both summer and winter.
